COVID-19 Public Health Emergency

Gov. Edwards issued Proclamation No. 25 JBE 2020: Public Health Emergency - COVID-19 on March 11, 2020; it was scheduled to terminate on April 9 unless terminated sooner.  Gov. Edwards extended his order on April 2 with the extension scheduled to terminate on April 30.  Gov. Edwards extended his order on April 30 with the extension scheduled to terminate on May 15.

The U. S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) has established a dedicated webpage for the COVID-19 pandemic.  There are a number of temporary exceptions and guidance documents as well as a link to a Questions & Answers compilation.

The Louisiana Office of Public Health has established a dedicated webpage for the COVID-19 pandemic.  It includes the current tally for cases in the state, by parish of residence, and it is updated twice daily.
